As the 2016 summer season nears a conclusion, Worlds of Fun has just announced that it will be adding two new flat rides, Mustang Runner and Falcon’s Flight, for 2017 and will renovate its front gate area. “We couldn’t be more pleased to add two new rides for guests to enjoy. These classic amusement park rides will add thrills unlike anything in the Midwest.” said Worlds of Fun General Manager, Frank Wilburn. Mustang Runner is a thrilling ride that has “three arms with seven gondolas per arm turn one way while the base of the ride spins the other way.” Falcon’s Flight is a “hair-raising thrill at nearly 100 feet above the ground. This ride spins and rises at the same time with more than 50 riders at a time.” This flat ride will offer a sizable ride capacity and will offer great views from high above the park.
In addition, a new front gate will provide park guests with improved experiences and overall first impressions. While complete details on this front gate not quite available, if this front gate project is anything like previous ones undertake at Cedar Point and Carowinds by parent company, Cedar Fair, it is sure to make the entrance to the park more pleasant and efficient.
