Not only is Wonder Woman exciting guests in movie theatres this summer, but she is also making her presence felt at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. In the Gotham City area, Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth will be bringing everyone who rides on an adventure unlike anything else in the park. In fact, this adventure takes riders to new heights. Next to the Superman: Ride of Steel coaster, guests definitely will notice the ride lifting you higher than the first hill of Superman. Riders will be raised 24 stories into the air, making it the tallest current ride in the park, and then experience being spun at a top speed of 40 miles per hour.
“We wanted an iconic ride that redefined our skyline, and we believe that this tower ride was the next big thing for us,” says Dave Johnson, Six Flags America Director of Marketing. “With this being the summer of Wonder Woman, we are so fortunate to have this ride in our park that offers a tremendous view and thrill for our guests,” he says. The attraction is a swing ride that can seat 32 riders per ride cycle. Each seat can hold two people and is secured by chains that will hoist riders 240 feet into the sky. As riders circle around the tower – a 98 foot rotation – for two minutes, you will then be brought back down to ride again or experience many of Six Flags America’s other attractions. All riders must be 44 inches and taller.
