A new free-fly roller coaster will debut at Six Flags Over Texas in 2017. Known as The Joker, this wicked roller coaster will stand 120 feet tall and flip guests head over heels throughout ups and downs and some unexpected drops that are sure to thrills beyond expectation. Each ride experience is different as riders will have six free-spin flipping opportunities, but, with new riders sitting in each ride vehicle for the approximately 1-minute ride, there’s no telling just how many flips occur and how forceful each flip may be. In fact, riders can flip forwards or backwards, no matter what direction they are facing, so each ride experience will be quite unpredictable. Situated in the Gotham City section of the park, this villainous coaster is scheduled to open to the public in spring of 2017.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with the DC brand because it resonates well with our guests, plus The Joker is undeniably one of the greatest Super-Villains of all time” said Six Flags Over Texas Park President, Steve Martindale. “The unpredictability and gravity-defying somersaults on this award-winning, spinning vertical coaster is the perfect addition to our already impressive coaster line-up.”
With the original Six Flags park that started them all back in August of 1961 adding its 13th roller coaster in celebration of its 55th year of operation, Six Flags Over Texas is must-stop on the coaster road trips for all enthusiasts in 2017.
