As part of the DNA of Six Flags, the park chain is constantly looking at ways to change and enhance the park experience for guests of all ages. In the past, Six Flags has looked at ways to integrate technology – like virtual reality (VR) on roller coasters, highly-interactive dark rides (i.e. Justice League: Battle For Metropolis), and so much more. During a trip to Six Flags Over Texas (SFOT), it was discovered that its tallest attraction, Texas SkyScreamer, has a new ride experience.
What’s New for Texas SkyScreamer?
Essentially, the Texas SkyScreamer does a little bit more than just climb 40 floors and then return the riders back to the ground. Now, guests climb to the top, drop back down to approximately 125 feet, and then climb back to the top before returning to the ground area to unload. While this change is minor and really does not drastically change the run-time of this attraction, it does allow for a new experience. Sometimes, the simplest changes can provide brand new experiences.
What do you think about the new ride experience? If you called the shots, what type of ride experience would you prefer that Texas SkyScreamer offered?
