Every now and then, we feature an article highlighting free things to do around the Walt Disney World property. Today, we look at a fun holiday experience that Disney offers called Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail
What is it? Imagine if the Disney characters were put in charge of decorating their own Christmas trees; how might they look? In 2016, Disney Imagineers did just that – putting together a few trees that everyone could explore. For 2017, Disney made the trail much longer, adding in more trees, more lights, snow flurries, and, yes, even Santa Claus. The Christmas Tree Trail now has expanded to twenty-five Christmas trees, and many of them are larger than last year’s evergreens. The ten new trees are inspired by Disney classics such as Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Snow White, and Dumbo.
Other trees included on the trail are:
- Mickey and Minnie Mouse
- Disney Villains
- Beauty and the Beast
- The Little Mermaid
- The Princess and the Frog
- Alice in Wonderland
- The Jungle Book
- 101 Dalmations
- Mary Poppins
- The Muppets
Santa Claus will not only be going over his list and checking it twice, for he will also be welcoming guests to his area now located on the Christmas Tree Trail from noon until 10:00 p.m. through December 24. You can take your own pictures, or a Disney Photopass photographer will be on hand to take a professional photo for you and your family.
