Construction continues at the site of the highly-anticipated Pigeon Forge Snow as the facility aims to open to the general public in late 2017. While the exact opening date is unknown and directly dependent upon the weather, one thing is certain – the indoor snow tubing experience will be one that guests of every age will enjoy. Looking to take a break from roller coasters and drop towers and seeking out a new thrill? The facility will have fifteen lanes for guests to slide down the 150-foot slope; some lanes will be for individuals while others will be wider, allowing for friends and family to slide down together. In recent interviews, Matthew Ayers of Pigeon Forge Snow mentioned that “the total length is about 150 feet, and you’ll get going pretty fast once you’re riding down on it,” “Some of the lanes will be singles, and some you can go down with five, six, seven, eight of your friends.” Bringing thrills to residents and visitors to the Pigeon Forge area is not something new to Matt. He’s one of the partners at a nearby thrill attraction, The Coaster at Goats on the Roof! While that attraction is doing well, Matt and his team look to add even more fun in the region, and a high-tech, indoor snow tubing is just that! Located on Teaster Lane in the heart of Pigeon Forge near The Island in Pigeon Forge and the current Mountain Mile project, Pigeon Forge Snow will bring the slopes to guests without the mountainous drives or seasonal restrictions. For family members and friends who might not like to snow tube, there’s plenty else in store at Pigeon Forge Snow. As the project nears its completion at the end of 2017, additional details will become available, and you can be certain that Coaster Addict will be there to provide updates at every step of the way!
