Six Flags Great America is adding its 15th roller coaster. The Joker will arrive in time for spring and unleash its mayhem upon park guests as the 2017 season gets underway. As the showpiece of the park’s Yankee Harbor section, this new 12-story tall thrill machine will bring a brand new roller coaster experience for those in the Midwest USA. “We are excited to continue our partnership with the DC brand as it continues to resonate well with our guests. The Joker is undeniably one of the greatest Super-Villains of all time,” said Hank Salemi, Six Flags Great America park president. “This free-fly coaster will perfectly capture the essence of the warped and unpredictable nature of The Joker. It will take our park to the next level of thrills.”
Similar to rides at sister parks, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Six Flags Great Adventure, this coaster features one-of-a-kind on-board magnetic technology that provides an ultra-smooth ride experience as guests flip head over heels. In addition to the free-flying experiences, this new roller coaster will provide Six Flags guests with moments of weightlessness as they plummet over the two [beyond 90-degree] “raven” drops. 2017 will bring a brand new coaster experience to guests at Six Flags Great America. Don’t miss out!
