December is already here, and Santa Claus is preparing for his annual voyage around the world. With the Christmas season now in full gear, those in the Atlanta area can enjoy the holiday festivities with Six Flags Over Georgia. Now in its fourth consecutive season, the Holiday in the Park experience is perfect for guests of all ages. Six Flags balances out the holiday festivities with numerous thrills found around the park. “Holiday in the Park has become the number one holiday destination in the southeast, as we expand with more rides, more magical sounds of the season and more thrills than ever before,” said Park President Dale Kaetzel. “This is one of the largest seasonal events in Georgia, featuring eight world-class roller coasters and more than one million LED lights for the biggest and brightest tradition the entire family can enjoy together.” New for 2017, Holiday in the Park will include the newly renovated Metropolis area of the park.
Festive Fun for Everyone
The Christmas season provides a great opportunity for families to enjoy time together. At Six Flags Over Georgia, guests can see magnificent Christmas light displays; see a wonderful Christmas-themed show, Because It’s Christmas; drink hot cocoa; make smores; enjoy holiday treats; ride in the sky buckets above numerous lights displays; ride the train to the North Pole; meet Santa [and Mrs.] Claus; hear Christmas carols; participate in the nightly tree lighting ceremony; and ride numerous thrill attractions throughout most of the park.

The park is open select nights through January 3, 2018. In addition to the normal holiday festivities offered at Six Flags Over Georgia this season, the park has some extra fun holiday events just for guests.
