Six Flags America is a park well-known for its thrill rides, shows, and huge water park. The water park at this Washington, D.C., area park has been a main attraction well before the Six Flags name. As such, Six Flags has not only enhanced it but has brought in some incredible water slides throughout the years. As much as the slides are a huge thrill for its guest, lines also form at its lazy river, Castaway Creek. This is the type of attraction that would allow guests some time to grab a tube, kick back, and let the water slowly float them around. New for 2018, Six Flags America will present Wahoo River.
This new river adventure will not only expand Castaway Creek but also make it longer, wider, and a lot wetter. Wahoo River will have a zero-depth entry that will ensure guests will have an easier time starting their river adventure. A wave generator will push the tubes along under waterfalls, dumping buckets, water arches, and wall sprayers to keep everyone cooled off during the heat of the day. Six Flags America Park President, Rick Howarth, exclaims, “Wahoo River boasts a myriad of unique water features and will be the new centerpiece of our water park. Every year we add new attractions, like this season’s Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth ride.” Hey coaster addicts, get ready for a new and fun way to beat the heat next summer over at Six Flags America.
