The 2016 is almost here for Alabama Splash Adventure. During the off-season, they have spent a lot of time, money, and effort to make even more improvements at their family-friendly theme park. As mentioned before, the park has invested in new flat rides over in the family ride section of the park, and they have also expanded food offerings and capacity. Throughout that time, little was said about any tweaks or fixes to Rampage. Like many wooden coasters, the off-season tends to be a great chance for retracking, fine-tuning aspects of the ride, or tweaking anything that may need some attention. After the first complete season of Rampage, park leadership still had some areas of the ride that it felt needs more work. The world class maintenance team went to work on it, and the results really speak for itself. While keeping to the traditional wooden roller coaster experience, the park’s maintenance team was able to smooth out a few areas, incorporate some new wood where needed, and go through the trains during this off-season. What results is a smoother, more enjoyable wooden roller coaster experience that was already great to begin with. Still, this shows the ongoing investment the park has in its rides, especially in its Rampage roller coaster! Park guests will definitely love Rampage in 2016; with the new family-focused flat rides, a fantastic water park, and all of the perks that park has to offer, this is a can’t miss place. Anybody coming to or living in the metro Birmingham, Alabama, area will definitely want to take a day to enjoy all this park has to offer. Just be sure to ride Rampage at least twice – once near the front and once in the back seat!
