Camelback Mountain Resort debuted its all-new, modernized alpine slide, Pocono Pipeline Mountain Slide. The new addition is a perfect fit for the Camelback Mountain Adventures Park, offering a new and improved rider experience over the traditional alpine slide from decades ago. In lieu of cement troughs, the new mountain slide track is constructed of a newly-designed, durable fiberglass from Aquatic Development Group (ADG) Mountainsides Division; couple that with the upgraded and advanced-engineered next generation ADG mountain sled vehicles, and guests are in store for quite the exhilarating experience. Gone are the days of scraped knees against the abrasive cement structures of yesteryear. “Recent advances in both track and sled design have greatly improved the overall safety and rider experience over the original version of the alpine sides. At ADG we continuously strive to set the gold standard for a new generation of fun in all of our ride developments,” said Ken Ellis, President of ADG.
This new attraction further solidifies Camelback as a destination for thrill-seekers, adding to the Mountain Adventures’ current collection of adventurous ziplines, its 4,500-foot long ADG-designed Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster, 4,000-foot Soaring Camel Twin Zip Flyers, and explorer course. “The Alpine Slide has real sentiment among those guests who grew up coming to the Pocono Mountains and Camelback Resort,” said Arthur Berry III, co-owner of Camelback Resort. “We are really excited to bring back a new and improved version of this iconic attraction from ADG and many of our guests tell us they’re looking forward to sharing this nostalgic ride with their own children.” One great aspect of this new attraction is that guests can race friends and family down the mountain slide track. Certainly, this new 2,800-foot dueling attraction will be popular with the guest, young and old. Combining the advanced technologies available from ADG Mountainsides and the scenic views at Camelback, Pocono Pipeline is a WINNER!
