One of the most magical things when you think of Walt Disney World are the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. Since October 9, 2003, fans have lined up on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom an hour before its scheduled start to watch Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams. This fireworks show has been so popular that has had spinoffs including Happy HalloWishes during “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party” and Holiday Wishes during “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.”
Starting on May 12, 2017, Disney will debut “Happily Ever After.” This will be the third fireworks presentation at Disney’s Magic Kingdom since the park opened its gates in October of 1971. According to Disney Parks blog, “this new spectacular will combine the latest in fireworks, pyrotechnics, lasers, hand-drawn animation, original music, a new theme song, and much more.” All of these elements will work together to tell a heart-tugging story about the importance of chasing your dreams, no matter what, and finding your happily ever after.” Are you sad to see the popular firework show go, or are you more excited about the “Happily Ever After” show that arrives on May 12th?
Special thanks to Disney Photo Snapper for taking some amazing pictures of the park’s early-morning testing of the new show.
