Kings Dominion has started to send out media teaser packages to a number of media outlets across the country. With much anticipation building up this summer, enthusiasts will be getting all of the details about the park’s 2018 plans during an announcement at the park on National Roller Coaster Day – August 16, 2017. While the time of the announcement and additional details have not yet been released, coaster enthusiasts are certain to be thrilled to hear all about the “BIGGEST announcement in park history.” As part of the teaser, Kings Dominion expects to “GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT!”
What Does This All Mean?
Construction continues on the roller coaster formerly known as Hurler. Park guests have been seeing a lot of progress being made at the old site of Hurler, but, with the park teasing that this is the “BIGGEST” announcement in its history, some will wonder if there is really more coming. Intimidator 305 is considered by most to be the biggest attraction announcement for Kings Dominion thus far, so how might this one actually surpass that gigantic announcement? Maybe, it is just a play on words. Some might contend that the “BIGGEST” part of the announcement is more part of the fact that this is actually the biggest announcement in Cedar Fair [Kings Dominion’s parent company] history since they have four new roller coasters being unveiled for 2018. Others wonder if there is a second attraction or added element to Hurler. Nevertheless, the obvious Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) addition alone is exciting news for Kings Dominion. Luckily, enthusiasts only have to wait until August 16, 2017, for the announcement. Be sure to check back with us as we will be covering all angles of this great event!
