The 2016 season has been quite successful at Dorney Park. With the future in mind, park officials announced two thrilling new attractions for 2017. While roller coasters are often the staple attractions at amusement parks, smaller thrill attractions are necessary to draw in crowds, add variety, enhance the overall park experience, and so much more. These two rides, Kaleidoscope and Dodgem, will do just that.
“We are always looking for ways to give our guests the ‘best day’ experience and the addition of these two new rides will complement our already impressive collection of family rides and slides,” said Mike Fehnel, Vice President and General Manager of Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. “We are particularly excited to announce the return of bumper cars, as our guests have been asking for this particular addition!”
Manufactured by HUSS, Kaleidoscope is a thrilling flat ride that spins three arms clockwise; each arm holds seven gondolas, and those riders are spun counter-clockwise, providing riders with experiences of weightlessness, strong accelerations, and lateral movement.
Dodgem, on the other hand, is coming back to Dorney Park. For years, bumper cars have been a favorite of families coming to the park, so it is great news to see this classic attraction making a return to the park.
