Universal Orlando made an announcement that has a lot of people talking; some are happy, but a lot of people are upset with many turning to social media to voice their concerns. This year’s Halloween Horror Nights will be the Wyld Stallyns farewell tour. Up until now, no reason has been given at this time.
For those unfamiliar with this, here is a brief explanation. For the past 26 years, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure was a stage show that brought in massive crowds. Each year, the show reflected upon pop culture events that occurred within that year. The show’s production was a huge stage show complete with concert lighting, stage ramps, huge video screens, and lots of pyrotechnics. Each year, people would stand in as long as 90-minute lines to get in to see one of the shows. Some did not care for it and never understood why the show was here because it did not blend with the blood curling themes of each year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Yet, for others, it has grown into a tradition to cheer on their favorite time travelers.
We can only speculate what will happen in 2018. Our Coaster Addict team has two thoughts. First, it may be possible that a horror-themed show will take its place. Universal Studios already produces them out in the open in the park. By moving one of the shows here, this would decrease some human traffic congestion. Second, there might be a possibility of a new attraction that has not been announced. We are aware that Nintendo World is coming, but, due to the location of Bill and Ted, unless they are taking out Men in Black, we don’t think this will be part of the Nintendo plans but; still, we could be wrong. Let’s hear it from our Coaster Addicts on thoughts about Bill and Teds Excellent Halloween Adventure.
