Do you collect park maps? Do you have too many park maps sitting around your house? If you answered yes to either case, we have a fun contest that is just for you – 2017 Park Map Quest. Join the fun during the second half of the 2017 operating season by sending in park maps from your favorite amusement parks. Send in park maps and enter for a chance to win a collection of park maps from around the country (or even from around the world). While we love to use amusement parks’ mobile apps, nothing replaces the physical park map. Since many enthusiasts cannot get around to all of the parks each year or might be looking for previous years’ maps, participating in this year’s Park Map Quest contest is a great way to get the chance at snagging some maps from new parks.
How Does the Park Map Quest Contest Work?
To enter, you need to mail us the park maps of your choice. Those go into the collection that will be used to award the winners at the end of the contest. There will be five total winners. Different entry values will be given based on the year of the park map is from. This means that sending in older, more unique (or rare) park maps gains you more entries into the contest. Also, while you can send in as many park maps in as you want, there will be a cap of 50 maps per unique park map that will count towards contest entry. Please see the chart below for details:
|Park Map Year||Entries Per Map||Max Counted Per Unique Park Map||Total Entries|
|2016 to 2017||1 entry||50 maps||50 entries|
|2010 to 2015||5 entries||50 maps||250 entries|
|2000 to 2009||10 entries||50 maps||500 entries|
|1990 to 1999||20 entries||50 maps||1,000 entries|
|1980 to 1989||30 entries||50 maps||1,500 entries|
|Older than 1980||50 entries||50 maps||2,500 entries|
Examples: If you send in 100 of the 2017 Six Flags Magic Mountain park maps, fifty of those maps count towards entries with each eligible map worth one (1) entry into the contest, so you would get 50 entries. If you also sent in 20 of the 2017 Cedar Point park maps, you’d be eligible for 20 more entries for a grand total of 70 entries.
This method will make it fair for everybody while discouraging participants from taking all of the park maps from the amusement park stands and encourage people to contribute more highly-valued park maps from the past. Also, sending multiple packages or entering more than one person from a household in order to circumvent the contest maximums will not be permitted. Again, you can send in as many maps as you like, but entries will be provided per household using the guidelines above.
Are There Extra Costs and Requirements?
There is no fee to enter; however, participants will have to pay for the cost to mail in their own maps. Winners will not incur any additional costs associated with the prize(s) that are sent out to them. When you send in your maps, please include your contact information (name, mailing address, email address, and phone number) on a piece of paper inside the envelope or package so we can be sure to credit the correct person with entries. Coaster Addict will not be responsible for maps that are not sent with your contact information.
Early Bird Bonus Points
To make this a bit more interesting and to encourage early entries, Coaster Addict will provide bonus entries for packages that contain more than 10 total maps that are post-marked during the months of August and September with bonuses restricted to one bonus per month per household.
|Month Package of Post-Marking||Bonus Entries|
|August, 2017||50 entries|
|September, 2017||25 entries|
All park maps must be shipped to Coaster Addict’s USA business address on or before the deadline mentioned below:

Good Luck to everybody! Check back for updates as the drawing grows near!
