Six Flags announced that it will open the world’s tallest and fastest pendulum ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain in spring of 2018. Named CraZanity, this record-breaking thrill ride will allow 40 riders to swing back and forth at speed of approximately 75mph while rotating counterclockwise and enjoy moments of weightlessness as they reach heights of 172 feet in the air. Six Flags Magic Mountain Park President Bonnie Sherman Weber exclaims “The new CraZanity is a mash up of craziness and insane fun, an experience different from anything else we have in our unparalleled thrill ride arsenal. We are delighted to introduce what will be the centerpiece of a newly-themed, Boardwalk area, and another world-record attraction.” Pendulum rides have always been a fan-favorite of thrill seekers, and this one is set to be the biggest and baddest on the planet! The ride will be located in the soon-to-be-upgraded Boardwalk section of the park. This section will also have more games, renovated attractions, great dining, and more shopping! The Boardwalk’s enhanced bumper cars, for example, will be perfect for the young thrill seeker in addition to this crazy, insane pendulum ride.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is known for its over-the-top thrill attractions. Coaster addicts and enthusiasts alike will certainly be excited for the 2018 record-breaking addition. One great feature is that each ride is a little different as each seat on the ride provides a different perspective. With the Thrill Capital of the World open 365 days starting in 2018, there are plenty of opportunities to experience CraZanity and collection of record-breaking attractions at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
