What are you doing this year for National Roller Coaster Day (August 16, 2017)? Quassy Amusement Park & Waterpark is partnering with the Give Kids The World organization and its annual fundraiser in support of their efforts to help children with life-threatening illnesses. Enthusiasts can participate by signing up for the event online and raising a minimum of $100. Participants will check in at 9:30am and get exclusive ride time from 10am until 11am on the park’s two roller coasters, Wooden Warrior and Little Dipper. After the park opens up at 11am to the general public, participants will be able to enjoy all of the other attractions at the amusement park and also in the waterpark.
Since 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomed more than 154,000 families to its amazing 84-acre resort in Central Florida. Children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free vacations, complete with accommodations, donated attraction tickets, meals, and so much more. “We have long supported Give Kids The World through IAAPA’s (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) World Passport program,” said Quassy President Eric Anderson. “We envision Coasting for Kids as another way to assist with the incredible work Give Kids The World does for so many families.”
