Seven miles of thrilling coaster track, two world-class parks – Coaster Crusade lived up to its billing and so more as numerous. Enthusiasts and travel bloggers gathered in two groups – one group starting at Busch Gardens Tampa and the other group at SeaWorld Orlando. The only thing that surpassed the amazing thrill machines at these two theme parks was the amazing people at the event. Between the top-notch hospitality given by the entire staff at both parks and the memories shared by friends new and old, this event had it all.
What was Coaster Crusade?
To celebrate National Roller Coaster Day 2016, Busch Gardens and SeaWorld Orlando hosted coaster enthusiasts for an all-day event. These enthusiasts were given amazing access to the entire coaster and thrill ride lineups at both parks. One group of enthusiasts tackled Busch Gardens Tampa in the morning before being bussed to SeaWorld Orlando in the afternoon before returning back to Busch Gardens. Currently, another group of enthusiasts started at SeaWorld Orlando and finished riding coasters at Busch Gardens Tampa in the afternoon. A little bit of rain came out to dampen the festivities, but that just gave the enthusiasts more time to enjoy conversations amongst themselves and park officials. From top to bottom and beginning to end, the event was first class – one that we were thrilled and honored to participate in. Thanks to the teams at Busch Gardens Tampa and SeaWorld Orlando for making National Roller Coaster Day 2016 better than ever!
