After much anticipation, H2OBX waterpark has opened to the general public. This waterpark in the Outer Banks of North Carolina spans across more than 20 acres near the Wright Memorial Bridge in the northern portion of this coastal region. The $46 million waterpark was a collaborative effort between lead developer, Aquatic Development Group (ADG) and the highly-regarded Weber Group. With theming to match the culture and rich history of the Outer Banks, park goers will be immersed in this historic storyline to include “legendary pirates, boat buildings, and the Wright Brothers.”
Thrilling Water Attractions For All Ages
This new waterpark offers something for everybody – slides, the Twin Tides Wave Pool; a water obstacle course called Deep Six Adventure Lagoon; a relaxing river attraction called Teach’s Tides Adventure River; an immersive, multi-level play structure called Calico Jack’s Cove; and so much more. The waterpark also offers a lot of adrenaline-pumping thrills for the older guests. Thrill seekers can enjoy the two-person water slide, Storm Chaser, catch an endless wave on FlowRider, or conquer their fears on The Plank. For the younger guests new to the waterpark scene, they can enjoy Sand Pail Beach and an entire kid-friendly set of attractions.
“H2OBX will certainly be showcased by the World Waterpark Association in a class of its own. We take great pride in having the opportunity to deliver the most progressive and exciting water park attraction to open on the Outer Banks”, said Brian Czarnecki, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for H2OBX. “We are thrilled to be welcoming our first guests and honored to show off this incredible park.”
Beyond Just Water Attractions
The waterpark has more than just a collection of slides and thrill rides, for it offers guests a number of amenities, including lots of shaded areas to relax in, plenty of food and drink options, and 50 private cabanas that offer a first-class waterpark experience. If you’re headed to the Outer Banks this summer, you’ll definitely want to check out the brand new H20BX waterpark.
