This past weekend our group members and myself had the opportunity to tour the new Batman: The Ride construction site at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. We learned a lot of information about the ride that I will be sharing with you below. We also had the opportunity to explore Holiday In The Park and all the wonderful Christmas shows that the park provides during this time of the year. It really was a great night and our organization was very proud to be a part of it!
Batman: The Ride Construction Tour:
We’re extremely thrilled about Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ new upcoming coaster that is sure to shock the world. It’s slated to open next Spring/Summer. The ride will employ the worlds first magnetic coaster technology. Magnetic fins on the ride vehicles will cause you to flip upside down, head over heals a total of 6 times throughout the course of the ride. The cool thing is that the park has the ability to control just exactly how many times you flip upside down by adding sensors on the track that alerts the magnetic fins on the vehicles when it passes over. So literally, the ride can be a different experience from the beginning of the season to the end.
Now, Jeffrey Siebert (park marketing director) states that the park is only confirming 6 spins throughout the course for now. But again, they have the ability to manipulate the ride at any time if they want. Some other cool features of the ride include a 12 story lift, and 2 beyond 90-degree raven drops. At this moment only large sums of dirt consume the construction site. We were told that actual ride parts won’t arrive until late January or early February when the park is closed for the season. This is truly going to be one of the most anticipated new rides for 2015. We can’t wait to experience it for ourselves!
Holiday In The Park:
Six Flags Fiesta Texas does an outstanding job when it comes to theming and overall guest satisfaction. The park could very easily be considered the BEST in the chain and even the world. The holiday event was absolutely spectacular. Millions of twinkling lights consume the park tress, buildings, and even rides during this time of the year. One of my favorite parts of the event is watching the Christmas tree lighting ceremony which includes FIREWORKS! It takes place every night at 7 in the Rockville section of the park. There are also sections of the park where the Christmas lights are synchronized to the holiday music. They are very beautiful to sit back and watch while drinking a hot cup of hot chocolate.
New this year is the park’s train. What I mean by that is, usually the train is closed during the event. This year they decided to open it and cover it with Christmas lights. “It looks like a giant parade” said Jeffrey Siebert. And boy he was right! I’m glad they were able to open it for guests this year. It really adds a nice touch to the event.
Fiesta Texas has ALWAYS been known for their WORLD CLASS SHOWS, and their holiday shows don’t disappoint. All of the actors and performers do an amazing job. My favorite show was “The Majesty of Christmas” which presents an exciting visual reenactment of the Nativity, a manger surrounded by live animals, and angels that fly through the sky. The production value for this show was AMAZING! A LOT of time and effort was put into this show. I’m very happy to announce that it was my favorite theme park show that I’ve ever seen. It’s really something that you’d expect to see at Disney. But then again, Fiesta is known as one of the best show parks, so with that being said, it’s something you’d expect to see only at Six Flags Fiesta Texas!
We can’t wait for 2015 as it’s going to be a big year for the park. New Batman coaster and a flat ride are both coming. The park will not elaborate on this flat just yet. But it too will be in the Rockville section near Batman. The park is also updating the Rockville section and even painting their floorless Superman: Krypton Coaster, which was much needed. It’s going to be a HUGE year at Fiesta Texas in 2015! We can’t wait to experience it all!
