Do you find that, despite being completely exhausted after a full day at Cedar Point, you cannot wait to get back? Sure, by the time you get home, you are ready to hit the pillow. However, not only do your dreams include circling around the Matterhorn, but soon you realize the next morning the 6 things Cedar Point insiders miss most between visits.
6) Adrenaline Rush
The reason 99% of the people are at Cedar Point is because they want to experience the rush, the thrill, the excitement of the adrenaline after being launched 400 feet into the air on Top Thrill Dragster or the 300 foot plummet to the bottom of Millennium Force. Even the excitement of the hidden launch located beneath the Maverick station is almost a breath taking out-of-your seat experience.
As an insider, you have the flexibility to visit the park when you want and therefore ride your favorite attractions as many or as few times as you wish. Missing out on getting to ride Top Thrill Dragster on this specific visit is alright knowing you will be back in two weeks. However, over the course of time between visits, you begin to miss spending time with your old friend, the rear left seat of the GateKeeper as you silently fly through the keyholes. The rides at Cedar Point illicit a sense of Zen that you wish to capture again on another visit. It is kind of like going back to visit an old friend, though this is the only relationship that gives your dopamine levels a sky high ride.
Regardless of whether you lead a healthy lifestyle or enjoy a bag of chips more often that you care to admit, when going to Cedar Point it is acceptable to indulge into some of your favorite amusement park food. Try some of Philadelphia’s finest “Crab Fries” from Chickie’s & Pete’s, some cold frozen yogurt, or funnel cake fries. Cedar Point offers a wide selection of indulgences to help fuel your day. The last thing you will want is to get home and say “I wish I had tried those fried cheese curds or smoked turkey leg.”
4) Live Entertainment
Part of the beauty of visiting Cedar Point is that there is more than just a couple rides and roller coasters. There are more than just some Pink’s famous hot dogs. There is absolutely more than just a sandy beach on the Cedar Point peninsula. The park offers a fantastic assortment of live entertainment options that have been increasing every year, and the result is certainly something Cedar Point insiders miss between visits. Find one of the daily shows like All Wheels Extreme or Lusty Lil’s Wild West Revue. Or take a moment to stop along the Midways and enjoy the live entertainment from the Bluegrass Jamboree. Our personal favorite that brings us back time and time again is Beach Blast and the Toes in the Sand Band. Enjoy live entertainment on the beach while enjoying games, fire pits, and great food not found anywhere else in the park.
3) Special Events
While there is everything from rides to food that keeps guests yearning for more, Cedar Point also packs in a variety of great special events to bring you back for more. Take, for example, the successful Brew & BBQ, where guests were encouraged to return by offering a unique experience at a fantastic low price. Drink your favorite local beers, try extraordinary BBQ food items not normally found in the park, and then take a spin on WindSeeker. The combination of rides and food make for a crafty memory that cannot be duplicated.
Getting to go to Cedar Point is an exciting experience for anyone. After returning home, guests will quickly recall the electric atmosphere that surrounds you during your visit. Everything from the screams of fellow guests to the site of people having a great time with friends and family, all the way down to the taste of an elephant ear for the first time. When you start putting all the unique aspects together, you quickly realize the atmosphere of Cedar Point is unbeatable and a reason you want to experience the high again.
Many pieces go into filling a day at Cedar Point, as highlighted above. However, there is one underlying “thing” that defines everything. FUN! One quickly realizes that Cedar Point packs so much adrenaline into your day, you want to experience that FUN running through your veins again.
