Six Flags announced some major new attractions for its North American amusement and water parks on August 31, 2017. Across the board, the Six Flags parks are getting some cool new attractions for 2018; coaster addicts around the country cannot wait to check each of them out. While so many of them are amazing and attractions that we highly anticipate for spring of 2018, there are five attractions that were announced by Six Flags that have us extra excited for next season.
Considered by most to be the most significant addition within the Six Flags chain for 2018, Twisted Cyclone will surely be a fan-favorite in Georgia. Enthusiasts have been asking for Six Flags to unleash Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) on a coaster at the Atlanta-area park, and their wishes are now coming true. When completed, the new roller coaster will be one for the ages. This hybrid coaster will look great and provide enthusiasts with all-new memories for years to come.
The Thrill Capital of the World is at it again. CraZanity will be the tallest pendulum ride in the world when it opens in 2018. Any time a park goes for a world record, it adds to the buzz and excitement. Adding a super thrill attraction like this fits a need in the park where guests expect amazing thrills. This flat ride will complement the roller coaster collection quite nicely and provide riders an adrenaline-pumping experience they will want to repeat over and over again!
Cyborg Cyber Spin
Six Flags Great Adventure is adding an attraction that has never been seen at an amusement park in the United States before. This 3-axis thrill machine will flip park guests upside down and sideways, taking them to heights at or near seven stories tall. It is really nice to see something brand new take center stage at a regional park. While this park did not get a new roller coaster, adding this thrill ride should really be exciting.
Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster
RMC has been working on a single-rail roller coaster design for a little while now, and Six Flags will be the first to debut it to enthusiasts. Continuing this great partnership with RMC, this roller coaster sits on a single rail and really provides a unique roller coaster experience. This type of roller coaster has never been experienced at an amusement park anywhere in the world. Adding a new concept is extremely intriguing as coaster fanatics are always looking for something different and new!
Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster
One of the highlights of IAAPA Attractions Expo 2016, Skyline Attractions mentioned that they sold their first-ever Skywarp thrill attraction this year, and many coaster fans were curious where the first Skywarp was headed. Enthusiasts now know that this new attraction will debut at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom as Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster. This thrill ride really looks like fun and is sure to be on many people’s list in 2018.
The 2018 announcements are really exciting; Six Flags has done a nice job, and guests can now look forward to more innovation and thrills at their favorite Six Flags Park! Which Six Flags announcement are you most excited about?
