Halloween is just around the corner, and we all know what that means! It’s time for Fright Fest! Six Flags continues to expand and evolve the offerings at this fan-favorite fall event. At Six Flags Over Georgia, there are four new attractions in addition to a brand new virtual reality (VR) experience. “We are committed to making Fright Fest the premier Halloween attraction in Georgia with our world-class roller coasters and topnotch frightening attractions,” said Six Flags Atlanta Properties Park President Dale Kaetzel. “Combined with the all-new Rage of the Gargoyles Virtual Reality Roller Coaster, we guarantee that our guests will be screaming louder than ever before this fall.”
Thrills By Day | Six Flags Over Georgia
During the daytime, Six Flags Over Georgia offers great family-friendly fun. A toned-down thrill for the younger enthusiasts is a great way to build the excitement of the Halloween season. “The Thrills By Day” Halloween festivities include arts and crafts, pumpkin painting, spooky storytelling, and much more Plus, children can wear family-friendly costumes and participate in the daily costume contests alongside their favorite Looney Tunes characters.
Fright By Night | Fright Fest
For 2016, Six Flags Over Georgia is bringing back some guest favorites attractions, ZX-1 and Terror Train, along with the award-winning show, Dr. Fright’s Dead Man’s Party! New for this year’s Fright Fest, Six Flags is introducing four horrifying additions: First, there is a new pitch-black haunt maze featuring mummies called Mummy’s Curse. Second, Six Flags a zombie and monster-infested scare zone, The Witching Hour. Third, the park has a live show filled with creepy, scary clowns – CarnEvil. Lastly, Demon District is coming to the park – bringing another slew of zombies and monsters just waiting to prey on park guests.
Rage of the Gargoyles (VR)
A new VR experience arrives just in time for Fright Fest. Guests will board the Dare Devil Dive roller coaster, but the experience will brand new. This time, guests battle blood-thirsty gargoyles while be transported on their Apache-style helicopter. Through the Samsung Gear VR headset, guests will be able to battle these gargoyles throughout the entire 2,100 feet long VR coaster experience.
Weather permitting, the major thrill attractions will remain open during Fright Fest. With hundreds of monsters throughout the park and numerous attractions, Fright Fest is quite the Halloween to-do! Running on select days from Saturday, September 24, 2016, to Monday, October 31, 2016, enthusiasts will definitely want to get out to the park.
